Manas Goyal tells us more about his choice to study in London, his experience of living abroad and his favourite activities in his free time.

London is hectic but at the same time very mesmerizing. This is the place where the contemporary and the nostalgic come together side by side and sometimes even blend in with each other.

Studying in the United Kingdom is very different from studying in Germany.

It is saddening to see the United Kingdom have left the European Union; however, studying for EU students goes on as normal.

Students sit in their chairs in their university halls – sometimes without moving for hours.

Imagine walking onto a plane and travelling 1,000 miles to spend the next three years in a completely different place than you’ve lived the majority of your life.

In the past eight months, I have been able to indulge in the culture, become familiar with the food, learn about different customs, become habitual to the rainy climate.

I have finished the first academic year at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

The first academic year is over and I would like to hand over to the new British Council Award Winner for the year 2021.
