Seoul meets Berlin - Tradition and Modernity

Well-known English composer Peter Fribbins is visiting Berlin. His new violin concerto is the centre of 'Tradition and Modernity - Korea meets Europe (Berlin)', a concert presented by the Kammersymphonie Berlin together with the Seoul Tutti Ensemble under the baton of conductor Juergen Bruns. Philippe Graffin from France will be the soloist.

In this great violin concerto, the composer blurs the borders of different musical eras and divergent musical styles in a matchless, personal way.

Peter Fribbins about his work:

'The sound of a solo violin with orchestra implies a level of personal engagement – naked, honest, heartfelt, emotionally intense, aching beauty – that is often hard to marry with the musical lingua franca of our time.'
