European Festival of Travel Literature “Beside the Track”, Fontane Festspiele Neuruppin
In 2014 the UK is partner country of the European Festival of Travel Literature, “Beside the Track”, part of the Fontane Festspiele in the city of Neuruppin. UK authors Priya Basil, Christopher Brookmyre, John Burnside and Stephen Kelman will be taking part in readings and discussions at the festival from 4 to 9 June 2014. In addition, there will also be a panel discussion on the topic of “Europe’s English dream”, with panel members Philip Oltermann (The Guardian), Prof. Jürgen Schlaeger (Centre for British Studies, Humbolt University Berlin) and Prof. Rudolph Muhs (Royal Holloway, University of London). The discussion will be chaired by Andreas Knaesche from RBB.
