"Brit Crime – A New Golden Age of Crime Writing?"

Val McDermid's public reading is part of the three-day British Council Literature seminar in Berlin. Our seminar brings together six contemporary British writers for a mixture of readings, discussions and workshops on the topic "Brit Crime – A New Golden Age of Crime Writing?". Participants can engage with writers including Val McDermid, Philip Kerr, Bethan Roberts, and Kate Summerscale and experience their work at first hand. The event will be chaired by John Mullan, Professor of English at UCL and chair of the Guardian Book Club.

Public reading with Val McDermid

British Council Germany in collaboration with the Großbritannien-Zentrum of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin cordially invite you to a public reading with Val McDermid. She represents quite powerful ‘Scottish Noir’ and will read from her work 'The Skeleton Road'. Please respond until Tuesday, 26 January 2016 to Eventbrite (password: ValMcDermid). The invitation (for 2) is personalised and not transferrable.
