Hamish Fulton has spent a lifetime transforming walks into works of art. The conceptual art and land art of the internationally known artist is standing in the British tradition of landscape painting and social sculpture, which he brought to life with new means and forms of expression. Fulton's work focuses on the experience of nature, urbanism and society. In collaboration with Akademie der Künste (Academy of Arts) and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, he has organized a walk with the title "Walking East - Walking West".

Details

On 21 September, two groups of 400 people will approach one another in a long line along the street "Straße des 17. Juni". Participants will slowly pass by each other keeping a distance of 50 centimeters so that East moves to West and West to East.

"Walking East - Walking West" will take place between 14:00 and 15:00. Participants can register from 12:00 on and will receive a photo of the event signed by Hamish Fulton.
